Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a Doctor’s referral?

No, it is not necessary that you bring a Doctor’s referral to attend Pursuit Physiotherapy. However, if you have one, or other information that is relevant to your condition, please bring it with you for the initial assessment.

Will my private insurance cover Physiotherapy? Do you do direct billing?

Yes and yes. For those who qualify, we can bill directly to your insurer. For those who don’t, we will give you a detailed receipt for you to send to your private insurance following the assessment and subsequent treatment sessions.

What should I bring to my initial assessment?

Any documentation relevant to your current condition (imaging results, medications)
Clothing that exposes the area of concern (and areas above and below, if possible)
Insurance card and/or method of payment (cash, credit, debit)

Will there be paperwork to fill out?

Yes. When you book your appointment, you will receive an email with an intake form that you must fill out prior to coming to the clinic. When you’re here, you will read and sign consent forms.

How can I reschedule or cancel my appointment?

You can call/email us with at least 24 hours notice to reschedule or cancel your appointment. You can also use the same booking portal that you scheduled your appointment on to change it.
